About the translator
My career path spans over the fields of warehousing, purchasing, logistics, planning and operation management. Over these 12 years, I partook in different software implantations and numerous technological changes. Depending on the project, I experienced both sides of the coin, i.e. as the provider as well as the client.
Of course, all these projects were executed in the bilingual reality of Quebec. I quickly noticed that a lack of precision in terminology and the approximative translation of technical documents were
an important cause of wasted time and resources. When technical documents lack clarity, all implicated parties must make efforts to interpret the information. Unfortunately, this interpretation often leads to discordant expectations and results.
I am passionate about languages and their rules. The career change towards technical translation seemed like an obvious choice to take advantage of my experience while opening up the possibility to learn new languages. In 2012, I successfully completed a translation certificate for which I was awarded a University Scholarship in Translation via the Canadian Language Sector Enhancement Program.
